AAT (The Association of Accounting Technicians)

The AAT is the world's leading professional membership body for Accounting Technicians with over 100,000 members worldwide.  Accounting Technicians work at all levels - from Accounts Clerks to Financial Controllers, in all industries and sectors.  Some are regulated to provide accounting services on a self-employed basis.

The AAT Accounting Qualification will give you the relevant and practical skills to perform a range of accounting and finance tasks.  The course is extremely flexible and open to all, no matter what your age or previous experience.  However, you will need a reasonable level of numeracy and English language skills.

AAT covers three levels starting with the Certificate then the Advanced Certificate then the Diploma.

AAT Accounting Qualification can be achieved via two routes, the NVQ/SVQ route and the Diploma route. This course is the Diploma route.

If you are serious about entering the field of Accountancy then this is the perfect starting point. The AAT provides a route into other accounting qualifications and will earn you exemptions from ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ICAEW and ICAS examinations. Once qualification is achieved students can use the letters MAAT after their name.

The AAT Diploma can be completed entirely from home at your own pace and no work placement or prior knowledge is necessary.

The UK Open College is an authorised provider of AAT study materials on a self study basis. No Support is available with this course. Students are required to register independently with AAT for Examinations.

Students are able to purchase each unit separately or indeed purchase multiple units and save on course fees.
