This course has been designed for use in the complementary health therapies. The acquisition of knowledge of human anatomy and physiology is essential in these therapies. In this course the student will develop comprehension of the structure and function of the human body, of the inter-relation of the body systems within the human organism and develop an understanding of the principles of human anatomy and physiology.

Assessment method:
This course is completed using continual assessment, allowing your tutor to closely monitor your progress every step of the way. Therefore no examination is required.

Examination:
No examination is necessary

Qualification:
On completion of your course, you will receive two qualifications:

Qualification 1:
Anatomy and Physiology Diploma

Diploma entitling you to use the letters SAC Dip after your name.

Qualification 2:

NCFE is a national awarding body.

Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology Award
At the end of this course successful learners will also receive a level 3 NCFE Award certificate of achievement. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 3 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland (in which case GCSE's are at levels 1 and 2 and A Levels are at level 3).

This award has been designed to meet specific learners' or employers' requirements. Accreditation by NCFE is a guarantee of quality. It means that this learning programme has been scrutinised and approved by an independent panel of experienced educational professionals and is quality audited biannually by NCFE.

Professional Membership

This qualification has been fully accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists (F.H.T) for Full Membership.

Once you have successfully completed this course and gained your Nationally Recognised Award, you will be eligible to apply for Full Membership to the F.H.T, the largest association in the UK representing professional therapists.

This course has also been accredited for The Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Membership, insurance and 140 CPD points

On completion of this course students can apply for membership to the Society for Holistic Therapists and Coaches (SHTC), a professional body who are dedicated to recognised standards of qualification and practice - students will also be able to use the initials 'SHTC' after their names.
