The objective of this course is to enable the graduate to gain the knowledge, methods and skills needed in order to provide effective Anger Management training and coaching to members of the public. The course methods include Personal Development Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Training, Life Coaching and Relaxation Training.

The course is designed to enable the graduate to practice in line with the NOS National Occupational Standards for Counselling (ENTO 1995).  The anatomy, physiology, self care and healing content are designed to promote adherence to the NOS National Occupational Standards for Healing. Exercise and nutrition modules are designed to relate closely to the NOS National Occupational Standards for Allied Health Professions (AHP)

There are no previous skills or qualifications required to register for this study programme. This course is open to students of all ages and backgrounds. All students have one year to complete this course from date of registration. Students are welcome to complete this course as quickly as they want to.

On average this course is completed in 320 hours (9/10 months).  Extensions can be arranged if students do not complete within the year and charges will apply. We would ask you to contact our office on 0800 0131030 for latest extension fees if required.

This course is completed using continual assessment, allowing your tutor to closely monitor your progress every step of the way. Therefore no examination is required. This course consists of thirty two lessons overall. Students will be required to submit assignments after each lesson via email or post proving their understanding of the subject covered. These assignments normally take between 1-2 hours to complete. A grade and report will be issued on your progress with any suggestions for improvement if necessary.

In addition to the traditional method of tutor support students on this course will be given access to a student community.
