Make Up NVQ Level 2 Course: Discover the natural art of applying make-up. This course will take you through the aspects of becoming a make-up consultant or therapist. Perfect make-up application, on yourself or a paying client.

This course includes “hands on” based practical training. The first part of the course is the distance learning theory element which is completed in your own time and done entirely from the comfort of your own home. As you near the end of your theory training we will contact you to arrange booking you onto your practical training. The practical training is run regularly throughout the year. You can decide when you are going to attend and which one of our national network of training centres would be most convenient for you to attend

Beauty Make Up NVQ Level 2

 

 

On successful completion of the course you will receive the NVQ Level 2 qualification which is fully accredited by the VTCT (see: www.vtct.org.uk for more information). The qualification is also recognised by HABIA - the Government standards setting body for the Hair & Beauty Industry. Gaining accredited NVQ qualifications increase your chances of getting jobs as employers recognise these qualifications as work ready in the same way as GCSE's and A levels in other subjects. Having this externally accredited qualification will also significantly increase your chances of being able to work abroad or on cruise ships.

All students have one year to complete this course from date of registration. Students are welcome to complete this course as quickly as they want to.

On average this course is completed in 140 hours (5/6 months).  We recommend that students complete 3-4 hours per week as a minimum to get the most from this course. Remember to work out a study plan / timetable before you start and try and stick to it.

Make Up NVQ Level 2 Course
 

On successful completion of this course students can join BABTAC. BABTAC has been the professional face of beauty and holistic therapy for over 30 years. It is the premier UK association for beauticians and therapists and is widely recognised as one of the longest standing and most influential bodies for the industry.

The BABTAC badge is the sign of confidence. Whenever the BABTAC certificate and treatment list appear, the public is assured that their therapist is a qualified professional committed to excellence in their field and their continuing development as professionals.

This course is issued in paper format. Your course materials will be delivered to you at the specified address within 7 days of enrolment. International students should allow up to 21 days for delivery.

All students on this course will be registered to a personal tutor who is contactable via telephone, email or post. We also have a team of dedicated advisors to help and advise with any course related queries. The tutors role is to help and support students for the entire duration of their studies. Please remember our tutors are here to help. Never be embarrassed to ask for help.

This course is completed using continual assessment, allowing your tutor to closely monitor your progress every step of the way. This course consists of six modules overall. Students will be required to submit assignments after each lesson via email or post proving their understanding of the subject covered. These assignments normally take between 1-2 hours to complete. A grade and report will be issued on your progress with any suggestions for improvement if necessary. Upon completion of the course assignments students will be forwarded a paper based exam to complete from home.

In addition to the traditional method of tutor support students on this course will be given access to a student community.

Q: When can I enrol?

The beauty of distance learning means that students can enrol at anytime they wish 365 days of the year. Enrolments and payment can be made online or by calling our office on 0121 2880181.

Q: How soon after enrolment can I start studying?

Students would normally receive their course materials within seven days of enrolment. Materials for this course are posted out via Royal Mail second class post.

Q: Is this course accredited?

Yes! This course is accredited by VTCT.

Q: Is this an official NVQ like I would receive if I attended college?

Yes. This a fully recognised NVQ qualification.

Q: Is there any funding available towards the course fees?

UK Open College is a privately run college therefore we do not have access to funding

Q: Can I pay monthly for my course?

NVQ courses are not available on our pay monthly scheme.

Q: Is this course available to International students?

Q: Are there any deadlines for course assignments?

No! You can submit course assignments at your own pace. The only deadline is for completion of the whole course which requires students to finish within one year of registration.

No problem! All students have access to a personal tutor for the duration of their course with whom they may correspond with. You are not on your own when you study with us! We really do want you to pass your course!
