Our teaching assistant courses are available for those students, aged 16 and above, who have an interest in supporting the teaching staff and children in a school. Starting from a point which requires no previous knowledge or qualifications these courses can also help those students who are already acting as teaching assistants within the education system. Our beginner course which has seven modules and is expected to take approximately sixty hours of study leads to an accredited award after successful completion. The course is studied completely within the timeframe of the student. The course aims to teach the supportive role of the teaching assistant within the classroom.
Materials are proved in either paper or online format dependant on the course and the student can complete at any time within a full year. UK Open College provide full support to every student from our advisors who can be contacted via email or post. We also provide another course which is also designed for students with little or no knowledge of the teaching assistant role. There are nine modules which will need completing which equate to approximately 160 hours. Yet again, this course can be completed within any timeframe to suit within one year. All course work is available by either online or paper format and our full support is available from our dedicated advisors.
There are also other courses which can be taken to support these teaching assistant courses. A careful look through our full selection of courses will help decide which is the most appropriate. A selction of QCF recognised courses are available as are equivalents. Every course can be commenced at any time convenient to the student, rather than the normal September start of most college courses. After enrolment and payment of the course fee, the course material will arrive in seven days. There is also a seven day guarantee available for all students.
