Aromatherapy is the fragrant art of using specially selected aromatic oils for therapeutic purposes. It is one of the fastest growing complementary therapies in the world." All essential oils are antiseptic and have different effects - some regulate metabolic function, some stimulate, whilst some others will soothe irritations and anxieties. Massage is used with the oils to enhance their effectiveness. Essential oils can be used safely at home for many ailments. This Aromatherapy Course will take you through from the extraction to the application of the oils for therapeutic purposes, as well as cover aromatherapy massage techniques. Aromatherapy is one of the most widely used therapies and this course will enable you to successfully practice as an aromatherapist. One of the key features of this aromatherapy course is the inclusion of the anatomy and physiology added qualification. Entry requirements: There are no previous skills or qualifications required to register for this study programme. Qualification 2: ASET Level 4 Aromatherapy Award This Course leads to an ASET Level 4 Award Certificate for successful learners. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 4 on the National Qualifications Framework (NFQ) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland (in which case GCSE's are at levels 1 and 2 and A Levels are at level 3). The Award has been designed by a learning provider to meet specific learners' or employers' requirements and as such is not listed as a qualification on NQF. While the duration, content or assessment may vary from similar national qualifications, in accrediting the programme at level 4. ASET attests that its learning outcomes are at an equivalent level to a level 4 national qualification
