Explain your understanding of: Transport hijacker and Operational hijacking
Discuss the five main options open to a hijacker
Describe steps that can be taken to ensure safety when leaving home
Examine precautions you can adopt when breaking down in an urban area

Domestic Violence

Assess ways in which physical and sexual violence can be inflicted on women and how it is displayed
Explain the effects of domestic violence and the psychological effects on women " The battered syndrome" has
Identify characteristics of battered women and the battering men

Child Abuse

Investigate the different types of child abuse and the effects of emotional and physical abuse
Discuss the long term effects of sexual abuse

Rape

Examine hostility in a rapiost and give factors that bring this out in his character
Assess the four tactics women can use when trying to escape from a rapist and offer tactics useful during a rape assault
Describe symptoms women exposed to sexual harrassment in the workplace may suffer from

All students have one year to complete this course from date of registration. Students are welcome to complete this course as quickly as they want to.

On average this course is completed in 140 hours (9/10 months).  Extensions can be arranged if students do not complete within the year and charges will apply. We would ask you to contact our office on 0800 0131030 for latest extension fees if required.

We recommend that students complete 3/4 hours per week as a minimum to get the most from this course. Remember to work out a study plan / timetable before you start and try and stick to it.

Your course materials will be delivered to you at the specified address within 7 days of enrolment. International students should allow up to 21 days for delivery.

This course is completed using continual assessment, allowing your tutor to closely monitor your progress every step of the way. Therefore no examination is required. This course consists of fifteen lessons overall. Students will be required to submit assignments after each lesson via email or post proving their understanding of the subject covered. These assignments normally take between 1-2 hours to complete. A grade and report will be issued on your progress with any suggestions for improvement if necessary.

In addition to the traditional method of tutor support students on this course will be given access to a student community.
