Course Introuction:

If you have passed your PRINCE2 Foundation exam and are now considering taking the next step to Practitioner level, this course is for you.

The PRINCE2 Practitioner Update course combines computer based and instructor led training to a truly flexible way to gain the PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification.

The course can taken at a time and pace to suit you, making it ideal for contractors, job seekers or for anyone who finds it difficult to take time out of their week for personal development.

Using the computer-based training you will first review your knowledge gained at Foundation level, then begin to build on to that with exercises and tutorial at Practitioner level. Once you have completed the course you can book onto a two-day workshop, which can be taken any time up to twelve months from when you purchase the course. The workshop gives you the opportunity to consolidate your

PRINCE2 knowledge and the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam will be taken during the two days.

There are lots of examples and exercises specifically written for this course to guide you through the Practitioner aspect, with example answers and marking schemes to give you plenty of practice. We are combining this with support from PRINCE2 trainers, who will mark up your dry-run exam papers, giving you some feedback prior to attending a revision workshop. You can also call or email a PRINCE2 trainer to answer any questions you may have.

What is PRINCE2? - PRINCE2 Definition

PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a process-based method for effective project management.

PRINCE2 is a de facto standard used extensively by the UK Government and is widely recognised and used in the private sector, both in the UK and internationally.

The method PRINCE2 is in the public domain, offering non-proprietorial best practice guidance on project management. PRINCE2 is a registered trademark of OGC.

The key features of PRINCE2 are:

  • Its focus on business justification
  • A defined organisation structure for the project management team
  • Its product-based planning approach
  • Its emphasis on dividing the project into manageable and controllable stages
  • Its flexibility to be applied at a level appropriate to the project.
